Call for VOLUNTEERS

Preference will be given to volunteers who can commit to the entire process. These volunteers will also be eligible for an honorarium.

THE CENTRE FOR THE ARTS IN HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

at the TA Annex on Concordia's Loyola Campus

will be holding an Open House on May 6th,

and is in need of volunteers to help in preparatory creative arts workshops and an art exhibition. The goal of the workshops is to facilitate our participants, adults with intellectual disabilities, in hosting visitors during public workshops in various arts on that day. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in facilitating the arts in a community setting with this population.

Dates of participation:

Monday, April 11 (Preparatory orientation)

Friday, April 15 (Workshop)

Monday, April 18 (Workshop)

Friday, April 29 (Workshop)

Monday, May 2 (Rehearsal)

Friday, May 6 (Open House)

Volunteers in art are needed for morning and afternoon hours on selected days. Volunteers in music and dance/movement are needed primarily for morning hours. Volunteers in drama are needed primarily for afternoon hours.

We also welcome application from persons willing to volunteer fewer hours, such as for the mounting of the exhibition, or for logistical help on the day of the Open House (May 6th).
